how about we take some european teams out for a bit, give asia/africa more spots and wait several world cups. Then youll have quality from asia/africa and less from europe.

Then the europeans will whine again: Though we are the least amount of countries,we want the most spots!

Unfortunatly, KSA is once again the weekest team of the tournament. I think FIFA should consider some changes in the qualifying games specially in asia! It's too easy to qualify from asian continent. South Korea and KSA were qualified even before playing! Who could prevent them? Uzbekistan! or Maldives? And on the other hand, in Africa, Cameroon, Nigeria very strong teams were left aside... Unfair!

KSA did well to draw with Tunisia. This is a squad on the rise and will hopefully continue to develop their play. However, I don't see them winning against even the Spanish reserves. Spain's lineup is just too deep to overcome when they're calling on a phenom like Fabregas to come off the bench.

Rooney - I disagree... just ask China (with players in England)who didnt qualify. Ask Bahrain who missed out because of the playoff loss to Trinidad and Tobago.

I make the assumption that you are an England fan I suppose you might not feel it qualifying from Europe, but Asian football would not be where it is without the world cup.

I'm sure we all MUST remember the scenes after Saudi qualified for the first time in 94. Im certain the likes of India, Uzbekistan perhaps Thailand etc will feel the same in World Cups to come, and the Asian region will get stronger. Also don't forget Australia joining the AFC from the next campaign.

Africa have 5 places; Nigeria and Cameroon did not qualify because (quite simply) they werent good enough! They lost out locally. Having players in Europe isnt (and SHOULD NOT) guarantee you a place at the world cup.

And Rooney, you laugh at the Uzbeks. If you ever actually saw them play and saw how close they were to qualifying, I wouldn't...

(And where is Shahed? I know the Ukraine game was embarrassing, but speak up man. There's no reason to only sing when you're winning/drawing)

For what it's worth, anyone see a draw for this evening v spain?

I pray what faris hopes come true, inshallah....after that the saudis will surely get the third or fourth place in the world cup as they can beat korea or switzerland in the round of 16 and then they can beat italy in quarters (if they beat spain the can surely beat italy looking at how the italians are performing this year) then they get to meet either germany or argentina which they cant beat even if they are allowed to start with 5 goal difference...then they get to meet portugal (who'll beat netherlands)....am i asking for something impossible?? well as its there on tv everyday about the adidas ad "IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING"....i hope adidas is correct!
