Belgium fueled by the 1994 loss

May 11th, 2006 | By: Shahed | No Comments »

Tonight, Saudi Arabia will meet Belgium for the second time in football history, after the superb win against them in World Cup 94. Saweed Al Owarain left a miserable image to the Belgium team after scoring one of the best goals of the World Cups. Today, the Belgium gets the opportunity to throw out the pain and humiliation behind if they can beat the Saudis. Or could the Saudis keep the Belgium suffering eternally?

Only time will tell. But the Saudi preparation leaps ahead of the Belgium and we clearly might see a one sided game. Folks, it seems the assistance coach for our team, thinks the players are not completely physical fit, so doesn’t expect a lot from the players. I don’t know when the players will ever be fit, but lets pray today we start a new era to the Saudi football.

For the Saudi starting lineups, we have Muhammad Al Deayea, Reda Tukar, Hamad Al Montashiri, Ahmed Dhoki, Abdul Aziz Khatran, Saudi Kharir, Khalid Aziz, Nawaf Al Temyat, Muhammad Noor, Yasser Al Qahtani and Saad Al Harthi.

As far as I know, the Belgium will be playing with their stars.

The game will be televised for sure at ART Sports and most likely at ground Saudi Sports Channel around 8:15 (Netherland Time)
