Big guys are worth playing with
Source: Al Arriyadah, June 2nd
Saudi Arabia played 14 friendly games in its path to the World Cup, where they only won one game against Togo and drew or lost the others. Such a result sounds very disturbing to the Saudi fans. Paqueta took the courage to play strong opponents, even if they lose versus playing a weaker team, where winning is easier.
Paqueta says:
Weaker opponents don’t benefit us..our goal is to play tougher opponent to benefit from it greatly and not for winning only… we don’t care about the result…the important thing is that we learn from that specific game. I am not at all worried of the result as we played stronger team such Portugal, Czech Republic, Turkey and Poland..these teams are the ones will benefit us most.
