Distressed, Dispaired, Complaining & etc…of the team
After Saudi Arabia lost to Portugal by 3-0, everyone pretty much made their mind up about the team. Even the media decided to consider the team as hopeless and have no chance of winning any game in the coming World Cup.
Sadly, our Bob made up his mind of the team also.
Making a quick conclusion from one bad game is really pathetic!
How many people considers South Korea as a good team? I know majority do. So, how can a poor performing team like Saudi Arabia beat South Korea twice during the World Cup qualifying games? It wasn’t luck. The only explanation is that Saudi Arabia played good football, which was really true.
If you watched the game between Saudi Arabia and Portugal, you would have noticed the team was having hard time passing the ball, keeping possession of the ball, running with ball and many other things. I plainly watched the game with shock. Saudi Arabia was not Saudi Arabia! Muhammad Al-Shalhoub who always plays an important role in the team was no where to his form. Its like the whole Saudi team caught a disease or the other team just scared the confidence out of them.
People find it hard to believe this team. I will find it hard to believe if watch one game only. True..results say alot, but lets keep our heads up for a team that’s trying to reach up.
In my next post, I will give an analysis of the game.

Actually I predicted SA would finish last a couple of months ago so my prediction wasn’t based on one game. I would like nothing better than for the team to prove me wrong, but from what I have seen I think it is going to be very difficult.
Keep the optimism Shahed and all the other Sauid fans!

3-0 .. thank god !
al deayea saved 3 more goals ..
also, the Portuguese were’t playing seriously !
all the saudi team was in a bad form ..
i think the biggest problem in the saudi team is in the centre defenders ..
exceptions :
al deayea .. the goal keeper .. even he wasn’t in his best .. but he was the best !
in the middle .. nawwaf who played in the 2nd half and done a good job .. i think this player is the saudi hope in germany ..
in the front line .. yaser worked well in parts of the match .. i loved his move between 3 players
i hope al swaileh will play more than a few minutes in the next match .. he is a promising young player ..

I remember back in preparations for France 98 we played against England in Wembley. We did alright and the game ended in a scoreless draw. I was one of the many who said that the team will do very well in the finals. Losing to Denmark and getting thrashed by France wasn’t “very well” performance. 4 years prior to that right before USA 94, Saudi Arabia preformed poorly in their friendlies but when it came to the finals, we qualified to the second round.
We still have a lot of games to play, so hopefully we’ll see a better picture of what the team might look like later on.

So we lost to Portugal 3-0. So what?
Germany, the nation that reached the worldcup final with Brazil last year lost to Italy 4-1 just a few days ago. Stuff like this happens.

Germany losing by a margin of 3 goals..is basically catastrophe for the host nation.
