Samuel Eto signed with Ittihad
Can you believe this? Samuel Eto signed with Ittihad. I heard the rumor through Saudi papers before, but didn’t believe it. But now recently there has been articles of his transfer to Ittihad for the coming summer. Al Watan paper reported that Samuel Eto during his visit to Saudi Arabia ( only less than 24 hours) got him more money than three months of being with Barcelona. The amount was so large, that Eto sent some of the money back to his home country’s bank account.
The paper also reported that Samuel Eto’s wife got jeweleries and other gifts from the Ittihad club.

the signing of eto and the setting up of the academy, both the things are a very good news… i, as a webmaster of the ’saudi soccer’ site, receive a lot of emails from players from different parts of africa willing to launch their careers in africa… this will b a good oppurtunity both for the club as well as potential player… it’s gonna b very special to see eto’o in the black and yellow stripes

We’ve heard this type of rumor about Al Ittihad before. Saudi newspapers always jump to the conclusion of a deal whenevr a star player pays them a visit. I would bet everything I own that this rumor is nothing more than a reporter with nothing to report on

Eto announced his agreement with Ittihad, to play for them during the Asian Championship.I don’t think there is any doubt about this anymore. Faisal, the saudi media and western media are on the same page for now.
