HI guys i live in lebanon and i am a huge im mean a huge fan of football unfortunatly im not watching theworld cup. the were tellings that the lebanese channels will buy the world cup matches from the ART but they didnt. and i have a receiver and i cant watch the matches either doesnt the ART have a REASONABLE! packages for just the world cup cuz subscribing to ART is to be a millionere not me or u guys if anyone could tell me something a hint please and u know my e-mail thx.

This is absurd to learn that ART have no marketing plan in Saudi Arab. Information can only be found if one looked for it just like searching for pearl in the desert sand.

ART’s pricing strategy also unfriendly towards its viewers. It would cost RS 1650 (Saudi Ryals) for one to have all the matches of 2006 world cup at one’s home. If they had right marketing mix according to demographic of the country, they would have had affordable package for most expatriates and some Saudis who only care to see some important matches throughout the tournament.

I would hope they could take some immediate steps to make some packages available for 2006 world cup games. It would be a great relief for thousands of die hard fans who are currently residing in Saudi Arabia and not to mention a healthy boost in profit margin.

Sorry but I am from ART and Saudi bought the 3 Saudi matches and paid for it, nothing for free guys , The Terresitals TV of each country have to Buy the Event for its viewers

Hey Explorer,

I don’t live in Saudi anymore but my family is still there and my dad and bro. are huge football nuts.

They had a receiver installed a few months ago in order to watch the matches, but unfortunately a huge building has been constructed and they aren’t getting anything.

They will be extremely disappointed.

Yes, it is indeed not possible now. Specially since the saudi channels are themselves aired via satellite to different parts of the world.

I was really happy to hear that the saudi matches will be aired on local channels. That’s exactly what was done in the last world cup in korea.

My only hope now is that they air all the other matches. I’ve seen them do this before, (they aired a completely different channel over saudi channel 2 frequency, it was neither channel 1 or 2 or saudi sports..kinda like a raw stream)

I’ll keep you guys informed, as I will be in jeddah soon.

WHAT? I lived in Saudi Arabia for a long time and you could count on watching all the football world cup matches on local tv.

Don’t tell me that isn’t possible anymore? That is just too much.
