What else do we need to know of the Ukraines?

May 30th, 2006 | By: Shahed | 11 Comments »

Ukraine’s coach seems to have his way of bringing energy into his team. He is willing to force the players to have relationship with their wives or girlfriends if they reach the semifinal of the World Cup – the article.

I don’t know…hmm…a long night of “bed exercise” might take out all the energy from the players.

The coach said he would use it as an incentive, which wouldnt occur until the Semi Finals, dont worry, by the time Ukraine is in the Semi Finals, your team will be safely back home :O)

That’s nasty talk Andriy, I won’t reply with the same language.

But hey Saudi Arabia’s performance is sharply increasing and I am sure you wouldn’t wish for our team to meet yours

I don’t have the taste to answer people like Andriy, but I do want to say there is no logic on earth can satisfy him and his kind.

To all the bashers (no no not Shahed or any of bros this time :-)) like him (but not him), I want to say practice games are simply practice games. They are played to check strengths and weaknesses. In case you didn’t know, sometimes are goals are conceded somewhat intentionally by a less strength like B team then players are substituted to see how the A team responds. Big name teams mostly play those games close doors, yet some teams play open. Just few weeks ago Koreans did it in the US against the US team too. They played against 10 men team and they played with 10 men team to see how the react. There are tons of other techniques different coaches use. If you don’t know this then go and know some of your players or meet someone from inside to see how they do it.

Now if you think Czech are a good team that’s fine, I shrug and say I don’t think we are scared. We respect you, but we are not scared. In my opinion they are simply too over rated team. If they played in Riyadh the result would have been reverse.

To the folks who are complaining about the results, you don’t know history and you certainly don’t know football. Look at the history of Korean team right before the 2002 worldcup, people in the press and at home were demanding Hidink to resign because of the bad results right before the cup. Their results were horrible, but they mostly played against top teams. What was the result? And how are they doing right now? Don’t jump the gun on me saying good or better. Uh… that good or better team was beaten “easily” like playing against Maldives . Yes they played like sh** against us. Did you see the game? So now does it mean all the teams they beaten will be beaten by us too? This is not how it works. So don’t talk BS here.

I am totally with Shahed here. I envy him for all the stuff he is doing here. This is football and we are fans. We are allowed to fanatic about our team.

Hey Shahed-
I heard saudis are supposed to play Argentina and Luxemburg close doors. Have you heard anything about them?

Yes, earlier I saw an entry of a match between Saudi Arabia and Argentina scheduled for the 6th of June at worldcup.com, but I dont see it anymore on that site.

We can expect a lot of bashers around here, thats pretty common amongs blogs. Even digg.com got crowded with the likes of those trolls.

The best way to deal with them is to ignore them; for their one line comments do not actually have any significance.

According the Saudi media, Turkey game is the last game. But there will be some small unofficial games with some local clubs during the coming few days. But one thing for sure, they are not playing Argentina and Luxemburg

Shahed, did you find out if alriyadiyah is showing all the world cup matches?

Will they show the opening ceremony and the final match? Will they atleast show the highlights?

Are they showing the highlights of the friendlies?

All I see on the alriyadiyah stream are people sitting on the desk and talking, what are they talking about anyway ?

What is the cheapest way to get the worldcup in jeddah? can you specify all the costs of dish installation and ppackagae etc.

Sorry for clouding you with so many questions, please try to answer them one after the. other :)
