Why with the secrecy?

Tunisia lost against Uruguay in the LG Cup final through penalty kicks, after the game drew 0-0. Tunisian Coach Lamir decided to use 10 substitute players rather than the start-ups in the final game to avoid giving away his game plans and tactics to opponent teams. Even though the game against Uruguay was a tough one, the French coach decided not to give away the formation before the game against Saudi Arabia on June 14th.

So why with the secrecy, Coach Lamir? I don’t see any other team doing the same thing. You failed in the African Nation Cup and now are you trying to hide the team’s weakness from the opponent. The team cannot even score without their Brazillian player Santos! The game against Uruguay shows nothing, but the fact that you are just going to lose against Saudi Arabia because your start-ups are not getting enough friendly experience.

perhaps it is the subs that needed some experience before the World Cup and not the starters.

There is no secrecy, Lemerre (and not Lamir, let’s respect the man)was just sparring his players giving the rather physical style of uruguay. Tunisisa did not fail in the last CAN , 0-0 vs Nigeria is actually a draw. Tunisia got eliminated on penalties. Let us not forget that Tunisia is the first Arab and African country to win a game in the world cup, (1978 3-1 vs Mexico),then it in 1982 Algeria beat Germany …and I do not recall Tunisia ever loosing 8-0 to any team. not even Germany. Anyway I wish the best to both Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
