Yasser Al-Qahtani: Is he the golden player for the Saudis in the upcoming World Cup?
A local Saudi newspaper reported that an English reporter who is an expert of Asian sports asserted that Yasser Al-Qahtani is a rising star for the Saudi team in the upcoming World Cup.
Yasser Al-Qahtani, recently transferred from Al-Qadissiya club to the most prominent club Al-Hilal in one of the biggest deals in the history of Saudi player transfers. The deal caught people’s attention for two major clubs, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad were offering large sum of money for his service. But, Yasser being a Hilal fun since his childhood wanted the Hilal offer much more than anything else.
His popularity began when he became a top scorer for Al-Qadissiyah club. Thereafter, he was included in the national team which was hungry for talented and motivating strikers. From the time he stepped into the national team, he showed his thirst for scoring goals.
During the world cup qualifying games, he played a crucial part against South Korea in the first match. He assisted in the first goal and got a penalty from which he scored.
His skills include ability to maneuver around players, run really fast and score through headers.
